• This first-hand account, told by her navigating officer, describes Glamorgan's role as an expendable escort during the Falklands war when she faced the full wrath of the enemy and was to be the only ship to survive an Exocet attack. Incorporating vivid memories, recorded at the time, it is also a brilliant portrayal of the daily life of an escort under wartime conditions and describes only too clearly the tension, fear, storm, cold, disaster and sorrow which were so close at hand.
