- To assess the effectiveness of 'soft skills' education and training (cultural awareness, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills and leadership) received by military personnel in preparation for inter-agency missions, a research project was conducted from July to December 2010, to uncover any gaps, recognize successful practices and identify which 'soft skills' are best acquired through training and education or through experience
