  • These Proceedings include the Keynote Address and 21 papers from the Symposium sponsored by the AGARD Aerospace Medical Panel, held in Copenhagen, Denmark from 2nd-6th October 1989. The Symposium examined aviator situational awareness with consideration of conditions where problems occur, methods to assess situational awareness and latest methods for information management and presentation in the cockpit. Indications for future research needs were discussed. These Proceedings will be of interest to those involved with human perception and cognition and those responsible for design of modern aircraft cockpits
