  • À l'aube du centenaire de la création de l'École des beaux-arts de l'Indochine à Hanoï, cet ouvrage lève un voile jeté il y a plus de soixante-dix ans sur un pan complet de l'histoire de l'art internationale. D'Inguimberty à Alix Aymé, de Nguyn Phan Chánh à Vu Cao Ðàm, en passant par Mai Trung Th et Lê Ph, professeurs ou élèves, ils dessinent, peignent, sculptent, travaillent la laque, exposent... Dirigée par Victor Tardieu puis Évariste Jonchère, cette école connaît entre 1925 et 1945 une période d'émulation artistique d'une grande richesse à l'origine du renouveau de l'art moderne au Vietnam. Forte de dix années de recherches et d'expertises, Charlotte Aguttes-Reynier retrace le parcours des acteurs principaux de cette période dans ce volume abondamment illustré et documenté.
