Résumé ou extrait
- Présentation de l'éditeur : "Assesses the threat Boko Haram poses to Nigeria and U.S. national security interests. Boko Haram is largely a local phenomenon, though one with strategic implications, and must be understood and addressed within its local context and the long standing grievances that motivate terrorist activity. To meet the security challenges posed by Boko Haram and others, the author advocates the use of intelligence-led policing and trust building between the government and citizenry. Nongovernmental organizations and community actors, which have legitimacy based on tribal or ethnic affiliations, should also play a key role in a broad spectrum approach that addresses both the terrorist threat of Boko Haram and the root grievances of the communities in which they operate."
