Présentation de l'éditeur : "The 3rd Pelagic Meeting took place in Zakynthos Island under the topic: "Sea Power and National Force in the 20th century," Lessons and perspectives of the future" In May 2000, a few months before the completion of the 20th century, scholars, university professors, officers and researchers from the European countries, the USA, Israel, Turkey, even from the faraway Angola, we were gathered at the beautiful Ionian Island, we unfolded our thoughts and we presented our approaches related with various issues of Naval History, of Naval Strategy, of international relations and of geopolitics as well. With us, that time, we were joined by many students from the University of Athens, from Panteion University as well as from the University of Crete, who were directly acquainted with the academic and research aims of the Pelagic Meeting and continued to the most creative conduct of our scientific dialogues."
